The Short Version.

1992 – The Ultrabox in Auburn, Alabama.
My first professional Dj gig. Tuesday nights but it was a start.

1995 – Button’s Lounge in the Gwinnett Place Marriott in Atlanta, Ga.
Right in my backyard; I grew up in that area and went to High School at Brookwood. It was pretty cool to have friends came and see me Dj at the local spot. This was the start of Dj’ing back home in Atlanta, Ga.

1997-2003 – Various Nightclubs all over Atlanta, including Midtown and Buckhead (before Hip Hop eventually killed the Buckhead club scene).

2000 – Joined 95.5 The Beat in Atlanta as a Mixshow Dj. I did a pre-produced show that would run early in the morning on Sunday plus live broadcasts from the Paradox in Buckhead on Saturday nights.

2002 – Join XM Radio on Channel 82. This was pre-merge with Sirius, back when XM Radio was pure. The merger that would come later REALLY changed was XM was all about, and not really in a good way but it happened.

2003-2005 – Rotation show on XM 81 – BPM

2006-2007  – DUI show on XM 81 – BPM

2009 – Now living in Orlando Florida, I started Dj’ing in Downtown Orlando at Chillers and the bar above it, forgot the name but they were all owned by the same company.

2011 – Started Dj’ing at Universal City Walk in Orlando.

2015 – At the end of the year, I stopped Dj’ing at City Walk after a dispute with management and then I retired professionally.

One other note concerning the name “Dj Smooth”.

I AM Dj Smooth. I’ve been operating as a professional disc jockey under that name since September of 1992. I’ve owned the domain djsmooth.com for a VERY long time.
